As proud as we are of all the service given by our Veterans, we recognize that there were also sacrifices as part of that service. In case you, or someone you know, may be dealing with difficult life issues, The 442d Project has put together a list of some helpful resources below. Your story matters and is still in progress.

Veteran Crisis Line – Connects veterans and service members in crisis with qualified, caring VA responders 24/7.

Veteran’s Administration – Official website of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs — the central hub for accessing comprehensive information and managing benefits:
– Health Care: Information on eligibility and applications for VA health care.
– Disability Compensation: Learn about and apply for disability benefits.
– Education and Training: Access information on the GI Bill and other education benefits and career training programs.
– Housing Assistance: Information on VA home loans and programs for homeless veterans.
– Life Insurance: Information on various VA life insurance programs.
– Burials and Memorials: Resources and services related to burial benefits.

Homelessness – Veterans Administration Homeless help site.National Call Center for Homeless Veterans: For veterans who are homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness, this confidential resource is available 24/7.

My Health at the VA – A Veterans Administration portal that allows veterans to refill and track prescriptions, access medical records, and manage appointments online.

Military One Source A Department of Defense program that provides comprehensive information, resources, and confidential non-medical counseling (including financial and legal) for service members and their families.)

National Resource Directory (NRD) – Developed by the Departments of Defense, Labor, and Veterans Affairs, the NRD connects service members, veterans, and their families to resources at national, state, and local levels.

Make the Connection – An online resource where veterans and their families can explore information on mental health symptoms and hear stories from other veterans who have faced similar challenges.

American Red Cross – helps with emergency financial aid in conjunction with military aid societies.
